Creativity took centre stage on Saturday, July 19, when the City of Karratha awarded nearly $100,000 in prize money to exceptional creatives at the 33rd Cossack Art Awards.

The Cossack Art Awards return in 2025 with a full program of exhibitions, workshops and community events celebrating local and national artistic talent.

A trio of respected Australian artists and designers will converge on the historic settlement of Cossack to judge the prestigious City of Karratha Cossack Art Awards.

Brisbane based artist Monique Ross been selected as the Cossack Art Awards 2025 Artist in Residence.

Artists young and old are encouraged to enter their works into the prestigious Cossack Art Awards.

The City of Karratha is excited to announce plans for the 2025 Cossack Art Awards and is inviting expressions of interest from local artists or those visiting our region to lead onsite workshops as part of the Cossack Art Awards Education Program. 

The City of Karratha is searching for an artist to share their creativity and skills with the local community over four weeks in July and August 2025.
