Use stamps, collage, and mark-making to tell a visual story. In this one-hour workshop participants will explore how to combine various elements on a page to create a visual narrative. By using a variety of materials and techniques, artists of all ages and abilities will be empowered to create a unique paper-based artwork that tells a story of their choosing.
Katie Barron is a Tasmania based artist working primarily in oils. Her practice consists of creating oil paintings to explore concepts of play and its relation to appreciation and joy. Barron was selected for the 2023 RISE exhibition at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery celebrating ten of Tasmania’s most significant and collectible emerging artists. Barron has been selected as a finalist in numerous art prizes, including the York Botanic Art Prize, Western Australia, as well as winning first prize in the 2023 The Henry Jones Art Prize, Hobart.
