An exciting range of options is available for large and small businesses to support the Cossack Art Awards. Through the delivery of events and festivals like the Cossack Art Awards, the City of Karratha aims to create a local identity and a culture of celebration.
We are currently seeking corporate sponsorship for three of our ten categories in 2024; Portraits, Works on Paper, and Pilbara Landscape. We are also seeking interest in 2025 category sponsorship across all categories. Read more about category sponsorship below.

An overview of the Cossack Art Awards
Our annual event grows in anticipation locally and nationally each year, both within the art scene and with the broader Pilbara community.
In 2023, our award categories made up a total prize pool of nearly $90,000 dollars, and artwork sales totaled $179,000, meaning the Cossack Art Awards alone helped to reinvest nearly $270,000 back into the arts community.

Our 2024 Cossack Art Awards will continue to present our hugely anticipated Sponsors’ Preview and Gala Awards Presentation Night, an engaging public program, and a three-week exhibition.
All events take place in Cossack, WA, and the dates for our 2024 Cossack Art Awards are as follows:

The 2024 Cossack Art Awards aims to align with nationally renowned judges, artists, publications and media outlets in order to continue to raise the profile of the awards.

Rio Tinto is the principal partner of the Cossack Art Awards and has been supporting the event since 1997. Their combination of in kind and financial support has created a solid foundation for the Cossack Art Awards. The City of Karratha and Rio Tinto enjoy a dynamic partnership which promotes the arts and culture of our region across Australia.
Through partnership with the City to deliver high quality events, our partners are provided with the opportunity to reaffirm their position as organisations committed to supporting the community in which they operate. The City aims to develop strong, vibrant, flexible partnerships, working together to deliver accessible and high quality cultural, social and artistic events. Council spends more than $2million annually delivering events and festivals across the City, but this continued investment will not be possible without the support of local partners and sponsors.
The support and input of all sponsors, to the Cossack Art Awards is invaluable. The event simply could not sustain itself at its current level without the continued support, both financial and in-kind, of its partners. The number of sponsors, ranging from resource giants to small business, willing to donate financial and other resources to the event is testament to its importance on so many levels.

Category sponsorship
We are currently seeking corporate sponsorship for our Portraits, Pilbara Landscape, and Works on Paper categories in 2024, and are accepting expressions of interest for 2025 category sponsorship.
Category sponsorship is $20,000 plus GST, which funds the prize money for the category, with the balance of the sponsorship amount supporting delivery of the overall Cossack Art Awards event.
